The Diploma for Hair Professionals is a work-based qualification that is designed to ensure that you as the Apprentice is salon ready once you complete their qualification. If you haven’t already obtained GCSEs in Maths and English, you will be required to complete Functional Skills.

Assessments and qualifications:
The final part of your apprenticeship is the End Point Assessment, which includes a practical assessment carried out by an external examiner where the apprentice will demonstrate they can complete a range of services on a number of models to industry standards and within commercial timings. The end-point assessment will be graded a Pass or Distinction.

What is an apprenticeship?
The minimum wage for an Apprentice is currently £5.28ph. The principal and prospect of earning whilst you’re learning – why would you decide on any other training model!!! Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to learn, develop and demonstrate skills of your trade in a real working environment (salon) as well as at our centre of excellence. This unique style of learning enables you to have the support of both your employer, their staff and HAHA Educators and Mentors. From the start you will become a member of the HAHA Team. Our promise is to deliver the latest standards, with state of art facilitates delivered by industry experts. You will also be encouraged to participate in both internal and external competition – a great platform to showcase your work including our annual Charity Ball.
How much will it cost me?
Apprenticeship training is funded fully or partly by the Skills Funding Agency depending on your age. The minimum contract of employment is 30 hours per week. You will be required to purchase a full hairdressing kit which are supplied by HAHA Training at a discounted rate including your text book and resources required for the course.
Dont have a job?
Our Employer Liaison Educator dedicates the role to work with Salon Owners understand their employment needs, training and job vacancies. You will be required to attend an interview, two days training, and a 2nd interview (feedback session), The successful candidate will be matched to a salon where you will be required to do a work trial which gives you the opportunity to proof yourself worthy to be employed. There are no formal entry requirements but you must have a passion for the industry, excellent social skills and enjoy meeting new people, willingness to work unsociable and flexible hours, self-motivated, and demonstrate enthusiasm
